Membership

How does it work?

As we are an association that leans back on a democratic value base, we have chosen to leave the right to decide on both membership fees and training fees to our annual meeting.

At the annual meeting, everyone who is 15 years and older and has paid their membership fee the previous year can vote. We believe in participation in the association and want to be an association that is for everyone, regardless of socio-economic status.

The membership fee is the same for players and supporting members: 100:-

Non-playing member: Is the membership for those who want to support Malmö Rugby Club's activities. You will receive information sent out during the year.

Life membership: Is a form of membership where you pay a slightly larger sum (For non-playing member) and then receive information that goes out from the club for the rest of your life. The club then gets to keep you on our membership register and finds it easier to keep in touch with you. A great membership for former players, managers and supporters who don't want to risk missing out on an invitation to a great anniversary party in the future.
Lifetime membership 2500:-

Parties: If you want to join the club's activities, at the club or elsewhere, you must pay a membership fee. Parties at the club require your membership at the time of the party.

In addition, there is a competition and training fee for active players.

Students and job seekers with a certificate have a 50% reduced training fee. We also offer the possibility to pay your fee in instalments, after talking to our treasurer. Players from Skolrugby pay membership fees from their second billing period onwards.

We have an ambition that everyone should be able to play rugby, therefore we aim to keep the fees low and create solutions for everyone who wants to join our club. By not having any paid coaches, managers, board members or other paid positions, we aim to create a sustainable organisation that is resilient to major expenditure.

Our budget is based on the support we receive from the City of Malmö, RF, SRF, sponsors as well as training fees and membership fees, and we are not a profit-making organisation, but everything that the members pay must be returned to the members in the form of materials, pitch rentals, support for travel costs on longer matches, match kits, etc.
